At the lecture the winner of the 2012 Deutscher Memorial Prize will be announced.
The following books have been shortlisted:

* Michael Buroway and Karl von Holdt, Conversations with Bourdieu: The
Johannesburg Moment (Wits University Press)

* David McNally, Monsters of the Market: Zombies, Vampires and Global Capitalism
(Brill)

* Sean Sayers, Marx & Alienation: Essays on Hegelian Themes (Palgrave Macmillan)

The lecture is part of the annual Historical Materialism conference: it is free to
registered participants.
